Stu Jenks Style by Kimbell Stu Jenks Style by Kimbell
Really annoyed.. this was a roll of film I took last night with the bronny and when I processed it this morning it turns out the dev was out of date, so they are going to be a bitch to print in the darkroom.. This is what it looked like when I scanned it: [link]

But anyway, I was really happy with the actual images, this was again for the movement project i'm doing and one of the artists I'm looking at is Stu Jenks (see stujenks.com) so I was trying to do some work in his style and I think this came out pretty good for a first attempt.

Ohh kudos, this looks lush! I'm doing Stu Jenks style things for college as well, although mine are sort of portraits. What shutter speed did you use for this? You should try it with sparklers, it makes a lush effect :) Keep up the good work!

Thanks man, thanks for the watch too. This one was probably around a 10minute exposure, I wanted to try sparklers before but I couldn't find any.

The lights are alot thinner and crisper in this photo, I prefer the other one but this looks more mordern and kinda reminds me of like an explosion or something like from the matrix! Lol love the whole set though!!!! They are all really interesting effects and I wouldnt worry about the film because it looks SMASHING!!!! Keep it up! :D xxx

Thanks for the comment man, I was copying what Jenks does by getting a hoop and wrapping christmas lights around it, you can get some pretty cool effects with it.

This was just in my garden, so I was able to run an extension cable outside, nowadays i'm just using battery powered led's tho.
